Wow - been a while since my last post. Been awful busy with family visiting, and work in the gardens. But all in all it has been a wonderful summer. Not enough time to create, but have been trying to do that catch-up thing, and succeeding quite nicely.

I have just returned from our vacation to DisneyWorld, and was it HOT!!!!! in the 90's with high humidity, which made it feel like 115 degrees. Yikes!! But I did manage to survive, and had a truly great time. Our really good friend Jack went with us, and I was so glad to have the time with him, as we don't see enough of him. My hubby was glad also, Jack is his best friend, and has been since college.

I have put pictures of a few ATC's I made for a swap, hope that you like them.

Hi - been a long time since I have updated my blog, but have been very busy. My garden had required lots and lots of time, as well as redecorating my dining room.
I have taken the wallpaper down, which took me over 15 hours of time, taped off the wainscoting, and re-painted it. My wonderful hubby painted the top of the walls for me.
I made a new valance, and covered 11 lamp shades in material to match the room.
We purchased a cheap round ottoman, which I have recovered also. If I must say so myself that ottoman turned out wonderful.
Tom and our friend Jack have added crown molding to the kitchen cabinets, and I now consider the kitchen finished.

My friend Betsy and I went on the tour of gardens for Summit County, and we saw Dawn there with one of her friends. I'll tell you something, there is a commitment to gardening that these garden owners have, which I seem to be lacking. I keep mine weed free etc., but still somehow they lack the beauty of these people. But I love my garden non the less.

I have put a new pic on the blog of a banner that I made for one of my swap groups. I think that it turned out well.

Until another time - Darlene

Well it's been a while since my last update. I have been very busy, on vacation to North Carolina, did some flea marketing, and antiquing. Got quite a good bunch of buys. Glad to be back home.
After we were home for a few days, our oldest cat June (19 years old), has decided that she didn't want to eat very much, if at all. I remembered that the vet for our neighbor had her give a puppy with a bad stomach, a small amount of a pepcid. Well, I looked it up on the internet, and it said I could for a cat, and it is working a little bit. She's able to keep down what little she is eating now, which is good, and she is acting much better. I'm glad, I know she is old, but just not quite ready for her to leave me yet.

You will see that I have added a new project to my blog. I made this just before vacation, and unfortunately you cannot see the title of it, it is just BLISS. I made this in one day, and I think that it came out just fine. Hope that you all like it as much as I do.

Bye for now!!

Hello all - here are a few new pics for the blog. They are Valentines jewelry creations, that I have completed recently. The pendant is for a swap which I belong to in Yahoo.
The four heart pins are from pre-felted hearts I picked up at a local craft shop, and I have embellished to my hearts content.
It's snowing here today, thank goodness that we did not get the ice that a lot of places have. Ice is far worse than the snow. This day reminds me of Buffalo. I thought that I left that behind me when we moved here to Ohio. I know that it snows here, but come on now!!!
Looking forward to tomorrow, lunch with my good friends.

See ya--

Well here it is the New Year!!!, and it is freezing outside. At least it's not snowing at the moment, we actually had sunshine for a little while today.
I put this new pic of a charm which I had laying around in my work room. I like this charm quite a bit, and have decided to dust it off.
Hubby and I have decided to loose a little weight, and have been looking into purchasing a WII, with the Fitness program. We have tried it out for a few days, courtesy of his partner at work. I have to say that you really get a good workout with this silly thing. But, it is fun, which makes a big difference.

I thought that my sister-in-law would have really liked the pics that I made for her, but I think not. All she said was she wanted the original pics, which isn't happening. She has family pictures above her stove. There is no way that she is getting these beautiful pictures, and having them damaged that way!!! Someday, when I feel generous, I may give them to her daughter Danielle. But only when I am good and ready to do so.

Oh well - what is the saying, you cannot pick your family------
